About UTUVO
Small tools for exact audio work.
One tool, one listening or session job. Built by people who do the work.
One tool, one job. Each UTUVO product is built to clear one routine chore that sits between people and the music they are working on, instead of becoming one more thing to manage.
We do not oversell. The copy only says what the code has been verified to do; when we say something like "the only", it has been checked, and the scope is stated.
Where UTUVO came from
Mixing engineers and producers keep hitting the same chore: a mix is finished, and the next person has to hear exactly what was heard in the room before they can say exactly what to change.
Do that job long enough and the pattern is always the same.
Notes get passed by email, by phone, by a screenshot of a waveform, by guessing. Everyone rebuilds the same moment in their own DAW. A job that should be exact turns into hours of guessing.
The tools that exist do not close that gap: play the file, see the timecode, mark the moment, return the note, in a single workspace, on the file that is already there. The need is specialized and the market is small, so the big companies have little reason to build it. But for the people who face it every day, having that tool makes a real difference.
So we built it.
UTUVO Player Pro was the first answer: Wave, MP4 and ADM playback, timecoded notes, loudness against the delivery target, and four ways to return the review. Player Ref followed, for critical listening on a local high-resolution library; Player Go 1.0 is now available on the App Store. The Work series joined them with Scan, Prep, QC and Manager to bring the same evidence to session handoffs.
One problem, one tool.
The Player Series is where UTUVO started, not where it stops. Every product that follows takes the same rule: find one job that costs people hours, and make it exact.
This is the start of UTUVO.
