UTUVO Catalog scans ADM BWF or WAV masters from registered folders or selected files. It reads headers and content fingerprints without decoding audio, moving or renaming files, or writing back to them. When a scan finishes, review the WAV count, imported ADM masters, and skipped files. Library Health reports each source’s pending, blocked, error, unparsed, and non-ADM skipped counts. Ordinary stems and sidecars can be skipped as non-ADM WAVs. Export the issue list or scan history when investigating a problem. In Library Health, “Rescan the issues” retries up to 256 known problem paths; toolbar “Rescan” walks registered folders again after outside changes or restored access.
Search using the metadata you have, then open a master to see its automatically grouped versions. If irregular names put a file in the wrong group, set its Manual version label and Manual version group in the ADM master inspector; clear them to return to automatic grouping. Catalog can compare versions across ADM object names, positions, gain, and keyframes. Loudness is not part of version comparison because a header scan does not measure it; run a delivery check on each version when you need loudness results. Duplicate evidence has three grades: EXACT means identical whole-file BLAKE3, CAND means a matching limited signature that still needs confirmation, and NEAR means similar title and technical shape for review. Catalog never deletes files.
Select a master to inspect the facts Catalog can read. The Summary distinguishes values read from ADM from values inferred from the filename. Open ADM Structure to browse the object tree; when the display limit is reached, the complete source remains available as raw XML. The Raw XML tab can save the axml for external specification review. Downmix Trim reads Auto or Manual from Dolby’s private dbmd chunk. Binaural Render prefers the ADM axml field and falls back to dbmd when axml is silent. A grey “Not recorded in the source” value means the header did not contain the field; it is not an error. Header scans do not measure loudness, so values may initially say Not measured.
When a file is available, select it and choose “Measure this file with the Delivery Gate” in the ADM master inspector, or open Delivery Gate from the toolbar. Catalog reads the source and creates a formal report from the checks it can perform. Review the result and report before handing off the master. If a source is offline, Catalog will not audition it or run a delivery check; reconnect the volume and rescan first. A header scan alone does not measure loudness, so use the delivery check when you need that measurement.
Catalog keeps metadata, tags, approvals, and release structure in a local SQLite overlay database. It never writes to the original audio. Automatic rolling snapshots run every ten minutes, keep the latest ten, and cap storage at four GiB; they contain no original media or artwork. Use “Save the whole database” to write a separate copy, or “Build a recovery bundle” with its manifest and checksums. Before restoring, choose a new or empty folder. Catalog will not overwrite the database currently in use or switch the running app. A snapshot is a recovery point for Catalog’s database, not a backup of source masters.

Lessons
Each lesson explains one task. Use the screenshots and chapter notes to follow along.
Choose a folder from a mounted drive, grant access, and read Library Health counts.
Use field keys, value lists and numeric comparisons. Search tabs keep deliveries and duplicate sweeps side by side.
The Inspector shows beds, groups, objects and presentation names; axml stays one tab away.
Pick one of the five profiles, read the per-row verdict, and export the evidence report.
Restore runs into a new or empty folder; originals are never touched.
